Web3 Gaming Social Media Manager [Contract & Remote]

A VC-backed mobile gaming company is building a web3 arm, integrating NFTs into their ecosystem to build community, raise awareness for the brand, and elevate the gaming experience. They would like to bring on a marketer with web3 expertise to help promote the launch of an NFT project and subsequent release of the game in which the tokens will have in-game value. The ideal candidate is passionate about social media and has a proven track record of driving significant growth in awareness for brands on key distribution channels (Twitter, Instagram, Tik Tok, etc). 


  • 5+ years of experience managing social marketing content and strategy
  • A deep knowledge and understanding of all social media platforms and how to leverage them
  • Expertise in growing social follower counts
  • Experience with social operational tools like content management, publishing, and community management
  • Experience managing and prioritizing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong analytical skills for measuring/tracking success
  • A strong storyteller, able to distill content into bite-sized social media captions and images
  • Experience managing external agencies or partners
  • Able to organize and prioritize workload to meet deadlines
  • Passion for start-ups, rapid growth, and quickly-changing priorities


  • You’ll be responsible for creating original and engaging content, building relationships with the existing following and bringing the user community to life across channels
  • You will be the point person responsible for all organic social media channels (with focus on Twitter) and charged with significantly scaling the channels
  • You will work with the founding team to develop an in-house ads strategy to deliver entertaining and engaging ads that contribute to greater business goals
  • You will lead an “always-on” social media strategy, establishing viral and engagement driven growth tactics
  • You will oversee community management and growth / engagement goals
  • Leverage social channels as a way to connect with the audience to provide product education, entertainment and brand-forward messaging
  • Help the broader team understand changes in the web3 ecosystem: utilize listening insights to develop thoughtful content and provide feedback to the rest of the team
