About Us
EmergentX is a venture studio dedicated to building innovative ideas into thriving businesses. We help create high-potential, scalable projects and incubate disruptive ventures in-house, using our expertise in emerging technologies such as blockchain, to take ideas from concept to market. Before EmergentX, our founding team launched Paidy, a payments company in Japan, which was acquired by PayPal Inc. in September 2021. They also created Wavecell, a cloud communication company based in Singapore, which was acquired by 8x8 Inc. in July 2019.
The Role
We’re seeking a Product Designer who thrives on solving problems and improving user journeys. You’ll be responsible for designing experiences that are not only functional and consistent but also engaging and innovative. From the homepage to in-app flows, you’ll ensure our users can easily achieve their goals across desktop, mobile, and app platforms.
You’ll also conduct ongoing research and user testing to refine designs and ensure our platform continuously meets user needs.
Responsibilities
- Translate user stories into intuitive designs and flows that drive engagement and success.
- Conduct user research and testing to inform and iterate on designs (continuous improvement).
- Ensure consistency across all touchpoints by maintaining a cohesive design system.
- Collaborate with product managers and developers to balance user needs with technical feasibility.
- Output detailed design specifications for developers.
- Test and innovate on workflows to create accessible and frictionless experiences for everyone
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience as a Product Designer with a portfolio of user-centered designs.
- Proficiency in design tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch) and expertise in responsive design, experience with 3D software and Webflow is a plus.
- Strong skills in user research, testing, and incorporating feedback into design iterations.
- Knowledge of design systems and component libraries.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with Web3 is a plus, but a curious and problem-solving mindset is essential.
