About the Role:

As the Senior Risk Analyst, your hands will be shaping DeFi markets. You’ll not only analyze assets, monitor critical systems and ensure smooth execution, but also play a key role in the future of financial markets.

Our Morpho vaults have >$300M deposits and we are using both traditional (Real-World Asset) and innovative DeFi protocol tokens as collateral. This requires the ability to understand both TradFi and DeFi concepts (duration, legal setup, code, decentralization, etc).

Responsibilities:

• Lead the analysis of prospective new collateral type for Steakhouse Morpho vaults
• Conduct in-depth risk assessments of the existing and new crypto-assets to identify, evaluate, and quantify market, credit, liquidity, and operational risks
• Proactively monitor markets and to mitigate and minimize risks
• Create and maintain real-time dashboards to monitor key risk indicators (KRIs) and risk exposure across the Morpho vaults.
• Prepare regular risk reports for leadership, distilling complex data into actionable insights
• Communicate significant findings and emerging risks to relevant stakeholders promptly
• Design and implement risk mitigation strategies, including parameter adjustments (e.g., collateral ratios) to safeguard vault solvency
• Develop and execute stress-testing methodologies to gauge vault resilience under extreme market conditions (e.g., rapid price drops, liquidity crises)
• Propose vault-level contingency plans, including pause mechanisms or circuit breakers, for worst-case scenarios
• Research and recommend improvements and optimizations to existing vaults, and ideate on future products
• Keep track of DeFi industry developments, protocol upgrades, and new opportunities that might affect vaults
• Create and maintain comprehensive risk management policies and standard operating procedures related to the vaults
• Regularly review and refine analytics tools, risk models, and frameworks to adapt to the fast-paced DeFi environment
• Support development of new products and strategic products leveraging decentralized finance infrastructure

We’re looking for someone with:

• 5+ years of risk analysis in a TradFi and/or DeFi setup
• Deep understanding of financial markets
• Capacity to read and understand smart contracts
• Ability to write data analysis in Python (Jupyter)
• SQL proficiency (DuneSQL)
• Not afraid of rolling up your sleeves and getting your hands dirty
• Highly detail-oriented
• Proactive and autonomous
• DeFi user
