Hanyong Xiao is a design leader with over a decade of experience driving impactful design solutions across product, brand, and strategy. Currently a self-employed designer, he offers fractional design leadership and consultancy, building on a career that includes Head of Product Design roles at MAJORITY and Rebtel, where he led teams in crafting user-centered fintech products for global audiences. At MAJORITY, he grew the design team from the ground up and spearheaded the development of products serving migrant communities, collaborating with top agencies like Bold Scandinavia to elevate the company’s brand identity.
Previously, as Head of Design at Jiedaibao, Hanyong scaled a design team to 40 members, established design systems, and contributed to the company’s growth from startup to unicorn status. His leadership helped grow Jiedaibao’s user base to 130 million and facilitated $14 billion in transactions. At Baidu, Hanyong improved user engagement for Tieba, China’s largest user-generated content platform, which serves over 1 billion users.
